Christian Bookstore Campaign

Australian Christians live out their faith in a uniquely Australian context. Our culture, history, church life, and our challenges. If Christian bookshops make space for more Australian voices, they will help people find books that actually sound like their context and speak into their everyday lives. Fixing Her Eyes is calling upon all Christian booksellers to:

✔ Create a dedicated space for Australian Christian authors, including online

✔ Feature female authors on International Women’s Day & throughout Women’s History Month (March)

✔ Celebrate local voices shaping faith today in our context

Haven't heard a woman preach before?

We have a list of churches in Australia where women are preaching in Anglican, Baptist and others that we have connections with. You will find women in most Uniting and Pentecostal churches. Visit in person or look up their YouTube channel to see, listen and learn.

Fixing Her Eyes in the SMH

"There aren’t a lot of blokes around who would say, openly and unabashedly, that they are seeking a submissive wife. So it was quite startling to see a groom say just this, out loud, on Married at First Sight. As the other men present raised their eyebrows and the experts gasped, one group of women watching rolled their eyes with recognition: churchgoers." Julia Baird

An important subject being raised on a secular platform. Wifely submission, male headship doesn't wash. It's patriarchy. It's toxic. It's a power imbalance. They simply don’t reflect the kind of life Jesus calls his followers to in God’s kingdom.
