Tell us a little about yourself? I can't remember life without knowing Jesus. Thanks to a a great Christian family. I live in a amazing house renovated by my clever hubby and have lived here for almost 36 years. The rooms are now empty from fun family memories. I have four grown daughters, 3 son in laws and 2 grandchildren. I love being at home, helping my hubby out with work, being a grandmother, gardening and sharing my garden with others. I love the outdoors and want the next generation of my family to spend lots of time in the outdoors as did my own children. What is your favourite bible passage and why? I have so many depending on the season of life I am in. So many are special but the one that I always comes back to time and time again is Psalm 139. God cares specially about each one of us. He planned out everything for us even before we were born he knows what we are saying what we are thinking. We are important to Him. How do you keep your eyes fixed on Jesus? Well I'm very easily distracted especially when it comes to reading God's word. To keep my eyes fixed on Jesus I rely on my Christian friends and my family. Just meeting up for coffee and chatting reminds me to fix my eyes on Jesus. I love listening to Christian music. It is easy to listen to music as I spend a fair bit of time in the car. It reminds me to constantly communicate with God. Even if it means listening to Colin Buchanan with my granddaughter. What would you like the next generation of Christian women to know? To know God. How important the need is to worship together. If we are not attending church or small groups we cannot be encouraged and teach each other as well as ourselves. So many of us are only part time church goers. I have had time away from church recently because I've been sick. It has made me realise even more how important our church family is. We need to worship together so we can know Jesus better and be encouraged by one another. What is one thing that you love about your local church? I love that it teaches the bible faithfully and the encouragement we have listening to God's word preached and love the praying hearts of my small group. What did you learn about God in a time of life you? Being self employed over many years reminds me constantly to trust God for our daily needs. God knows when things are tough for us when I'm feeling sad and worried about things. God always seems to put people in the right place at the right time whether it be a encouraging word or just a phone from someone. God is trustworthy. God is faithful. What are you passionate about? About everyone and especially all my family knowing Jesus. Making time to spend with our family and friends to encourage one another. Hopefully showing the people around me what God is like by the way I live my life. What do you enjoy doing when you are at rest? Holidaying with my hubby. Hanging out with family. Spending way too many hours in the garden and creating kids clothes.
