Tell us a little about yourself. I’m a passionate pioneer, married to Brian and have three amazing kids. My husband and I love starting new businesses or other new and exciting ventures. I work as an associate pastor at Glen Waverley Anglican Church and love the community there and the freedom I’ve been given to pioneer new gospel ministries. What's your favourite bible passage & why? For a long time its 1 Timothy 4:12 “Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.” I grew up in ministry, starting my first paid role at 18yrs and was often the youngest in my field. I decided to let this be my mantra, let my actions speak for me. I’ve sought to live it out every day. How do you keep your eyes fixed on Jesus? I start everyday with a walk. With three kids that means getting up very early before my husband goes to work. Its my time, no agenda, no set readings, just time for me to focus my day on whatever Jesus is calling me into. What would you like the next generation of Christian women to know? You are fearfully and wonderfully made. Don’t let anyone else every tell you anything different. What's one thing that you love about your local church? I love their courage to follow Jesus in the unknown, to try new things and step out in faith. I also love their courage to follow Jesus in the everyday, their universities and workplaces, not ashamed of who they are. What did you learn about God at a time in your life you found hard? I’ve been burnt out in the course of ministry, and hit some really hard spaces, but I learnt that God is faithful there, even if I am not. His faithfulness in the darkest times has been something that has stayed with me, and encouraged me to step out trusting him no matter where he calls me. What are you passionate about? I’m passionate about the church living out it’s missional identity as God’s missionary people. Men and women working together to see God glorified and his kingdom fulfilled in this world! I’m passionate about innovative ways to be the church in this culture and coaching church planters to this end. What do you enjoy doing when you rest? I love reading by the beach, wakeboarding and going swimming! Its an odd mix, but love the ocean and the freedom of the water. I love teaching other people to wakeboard and seeing them succeed!
