- Tell us a little about you
I came to real faith in Jesus as a young adult and got it into my head to go to Bible College (SMBC) shortly afterwards. I went in order to try to understand more about Christianity and about Jesus.
Whilst I was at college I fell in love with God’s word and the idea of helping people to understand him better through it.
Since then, I’ve had the privilege of working as a School Chaplain and in parish ministry.
I met my husband at College and we have two daughters who are both amazing.
We live in Melbourne - the worlds most liveable city. I have Fridays off and a great day off for me includes a walk into the botanical gardens or the city, browsing at Dymocks, sitting in the state library whilst reading the paper and tramming home. The simple things….
- What's your favourite bible passage & why?
Isaiah 26:8
Yes, LORD, walking in the way of your laws,
we wait for you;
your name and renown
are the desire of our hearts.
I’m intrigued by the use of the word ‘renown’. Its a synonym of ‘fame’, so the verse is saying that the desire of our hearts is to make God more famous, more well known.
That his name would be on the lips of so many many more.
Its a great vision.
- How do you keep your eyes fixed on Jesus?
Scripture bears testimony to Jesus and a large part of my job involves studying scripture to prepare sermons and bible studies.
Someone once said that a good sermon has to preach to the preacher before it can preach to others- so I get to be drawn to Christ through that.
I often struggle to deeply understand Scripture and its those breakthrough moments of understanding Him as I study that are priceless.
- What would you like the next generation of Christian women to know?
That we are all one in Christ Jesus.
- What's one thing that you love about your church?
The people
- What did you learn about God at a time in your life you found hard?
His presence is enough.

God’s word.

- What do you enjoy doing when you rest?
Sleeping!
