Tell us a little about you I grew up as a missionary kid in the highlands of Papua New Guinea, became a primary school teacher, had a brief and unremarkable career as a classical singer, am now loving my role working for the Baptist church in Crows Nest where Jen and I have been for the past seven years. Jen is amazing (you'll know that if you've met her), she works in foster care, and we are continually pinching ourselves that we get to be the parents for our three young chi

What's your favourite bible passage & why? One of my favourite bible passages is John 1:14, “The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us.” Firstly, there is something absolutely awe inspiring and revealing about the character of God and his love for creation. I am an Anglican minister in Sydney. I do interim and consultancy ministry. I write daily devotions for Hope 103.2fm, and present spots on that station and also 2CH. Before becoming a pastor I worked in customer services for Qantas, and continue to work as a volunteer Airport Ambassador at the International Airport. I am married with two daughters and two granddaughters. A Bible verse I constantly keep in mind is 2 Chronicles 20:12…” For we have no power to face this vast arm

I was quietened by that comment and took some time to process it, ‘is raisin

Parenting young kids can be more than any person can handle. You’re not deficient. Call in every bit of support you can. Drop the guilt. No-one’s got it all together (whatever that means). Just love your kids and feed them and play with them and do the best you can. ‘Good enough’ parenting is actually better for them than 'per

Strengthened in the Shaking
Ever felt like everything in your world was shaking? Like it was all about to come crashing down? The struggles seem never ending and the challenges are fierce. Nothing looks like you thought it would, life has knocked the wind out of you and you’re not sure if you will ever catch your breath. We can find ourselves in a whirlwind of doubts, insecurity and pain. Surrounded by people who love us yet convinced that we are all alone, abandoned and forgotten. Our world shakes and
